How It's Calculated
The container's usable volume (reduced by ~12% if palletized) is divided by the unit volume; weight capacity is divided by unit weight; whichever is smaller sets the real capacity.
Real Example
Example: 500 units of 50×40×35 cm at 15 kg each, in a 40' Standard Container (67.5 m³, 26,680 kg) → volume allows ~964 units, weight allows ~1,778 units; volume is the binding constraint, so all 500 units fit comfortably.
