Term

FOB (Free On Board)

An Incoterm® rule where the seller's risk and cost transfer to the buyer once the goods are loaded onto the vessel at the named port of shipment. Used only for sea and inland waterway transport.

Example

An exporter selling FOB Izmir Port means the buyer pays freight and insurance from the moment the goods are loaded onto the ship.
